Help keep a dangerous killer off our streets

On Halloween 2010, Joanna Simpson was brutally bludgeoned to death by her estranged husband within earshot of their two young children and buried in a pre-dug grave. Yet this November, Robert Brown is set for automatic early release after serving only half his sentence.

Not only should we stop these dangerous killers from walking our streets, but ever more so when the well publicised failings in the probation service in England and Wales provide no confidence to the public that he will be managed safely in the community. In the last year we have seen the horrendous murders of Zara Aleena, Terri Harris, Lacey Bennett, John Paul Bennett, and Connie Gent after a litany of failings by the probation service. We cannot stand by and let it happen again.

We urgently need your support to urge the Justice Secretary Alex Chalk to exercise his powers and prevent this dangerous man being released into the community. Please write to your MP and ask them to put pressure on Alex Chalk to take this case seriously and do the right thing - for Jo, for her family, for all women and girls.

To make it easy for you we have provided a draft letter. However evidence suggests that where a letter to your MP is personalised it is much more likely to get noticed so please feel free to amend it with your personal thoughts.
